Jackson College to host ‘Funds and Fun’ event for Michigan Reconnect scholarship recipients

Jackson College will host “Funds and Fun,” a special event designed to help students utilize their Michigan Reconnect Scholarships for the upcoming summer semester. The event will take place on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, from 4-7 p.m. in the Bert Walker Hall Lobby (BWH 101).
This event aims to provide comprehensive support for Michigan Reconnect Scholarship recipients who have yet to use their funds. “We want to ensure our students maximize their scholarship benefits and are prepared for the summer semester,” said Zabrina Yannella, College Completion Coach at Jackson College. “This event provides a one-stop opportunity for students to get personalized guidance on financial aid, enrollment, and maintaining their scholarship eligibility.”
Attendees will benefit from:
- One-on-one assistance from Reconnect navigators and College Completion Coaches
- Financial aid consultations with specialists
- Summer semester enrollment guidance
- Support for maintaining scholarship eligibility
- Assistance with financial aid appeals for those in warning or suspended status
- Light refreshments and take-home resources
