DESCRIPTION: If you want to learn how to take your camera off ‘AUTOMATIC’ and learn the basics & fundamentals of photography, this workshop is for you! We will take you through the program modes and functions of the DSLR/Mirrorless camera, talk about lenses, flashes, exposure, elements of composition, shooting strategies & postproduction (retouching) best practices. We will also discuss and demonstrate workflow best practices, such as getting photos from camera to computer, storage, gear to use and best practices in how to work on photos. This workshop will give you a good start at starting to photograph the right way whether for hobby or business and a great understanding of your camera. All experience levels welcome!

LOCATION: Bert Walker Hall (BW), Room 209, Jackson College Central Campus.

  • Students must bring their own digital camera and any associated camera gear.
