Principles of Alternative Energy

(SAME AS CCT 160) This course will explore the fundamentals of designing and maintaining an energy efficient building to reduce a homeowner or businesss cost of utilities. Students will learn techniques to identify wasted energy and the methods needed to modernize an energy inefficient home.

(SAME AS CCT 162) This course will explore the necessary knowledge and skills to conduct a building energy audit. The class will learn how to operate the latest building science technology and equipment to identify heating, cooling, base load, and air leakage problems in a building.
