The Center for Innovation (C4I) at Jackson College is committed to fostering excellence in teaching and learning. Our mission is to support faculty in advancing their instructional skills through innovative resources, development opportunities, and cutting-edge educational practices to foster our total commitment to student success.

Workshops & Certificate Programs

C4I offers a wide range of workshops and specialized training courses, many of which provide certificates upon completion. These programs are designed to enhance teaching techniques, technology skills, and best practices in education, supporting faculty in delivering impactful and engaging learning experiences.

Instructional Designer Consultations

Our instructional designers provide one-on-one consultations, helping faculty with course design, content development, and technology integration. These consultations are tailored to meet Jackson College’s instructional goals, making course content engaging and accessible for all students.

Communities of Practice & Lunch and Learns

Faculty can connect through C4I’s Communities of Practice, where they collaborate on shared teaching interests, exchange ideas, and develop new strategies together. Our Lunch and Learn sessions add an informal, collaborative space to explore current topics and gain practical insights that faculty can apply directly to their courses.

Digital Toolkit & Instructor Video Recording Studio

Our digital toolkit provides on-demand resources, including templates, instructional guides, and tech tools that support teaching needs when time is short. The C4I Video Recording Studio offers faculty the tools to create high-quality multimedia content for their courses. Note: Access to the Digital Toolkit requires a Canvas account.

Faculty Source Course & Recognition Programs

The Faculty Source Course empowers faculty to create valuable resources and materials for their courses, enhancing the learning experience. C4I’s recognition initiatives also celebrate faculty achievements, reinforcing our commitment to teaching excellence and continuous innovation.
