All about your success: Project Success Day planned Feb. 3
Jackson Community College students are invited to participate in day-long series of workshops to help with “Success at JCC and Beyond,” at Project Success Day, Tuesday, Feb. 3.
Project Success Day promotes academic success for students and takes the place of regular classes. Workshops are planned throughout the day to help students improve their study skills, explore career fields, service learning opportunities and much more. Some workshops can help writing students gain the hours they need for Guided Practice and Workshops component for ENG 090, ENG 131 and ENG 132.
Keynote speaker for this year’s event will be Michael Shore, a retired vice president from Consumers Energy who uses juggling to help students better understand the process by which they learn new skills and gain insight into barriers and obstacles they create in the process. This fun and engaging opportunity is appropriate for new and returning students and can be applied to success in college as well as in everyday life.
Students must register in the Dove Commons area of Potter Center. Registration begins at 8 a.m. and continues until 4 p.m. This is a free event, but students must register to receive a ticket for prizes and a free lunch.
