Jackson Community College signed four players to the 2009 men’s soccer team Monday at the Victor Cuiss Fieldhouse.

  • Cody Bayn of Parma is a 2006 graduate of Western High School who has attended Western Michigan University. While playing for the Western High Panthers, Bayn was named to the 2006 All-Area team and Second Team All-State (Division 2). “Cody is a great player. He’s athletic and fearless. With the ball at his feet, great things will happen,” said Jason Smith, head coach.
  • Joey Tylutki of Jackson is a 2008 graduate of Western High School who has attended Saginaw Valley State University. He plays defense and was named First Team All-Conference, and All-Area 2007. “Joey is a raw athlete, with good speed and a great soccer mind,” Smith said. “He has been away from the game for a year, but he will fit right in here at JCC.”
  • Jeremy Winstead of Adrian will graduate in 2009 from Lenawee Christian H.S. He plays forward and was named First Team Independent Soccer League, two years All-County and two years All-State (Honorable Mention and Second Team). “Jeremy is a great player who will have an immediate impact on our team,” Smith said. “I look forward to coaching him these upcoming years.”
  • Brian Young of South Lyon played goalkeeper for the South Lyon H.S. Lions, and graduates in 2009. His honors include First Team All-District, First Team All-Area, First Team All Kensington Valley Conference and First Team All Kensington Lakes Activities Association. “Brian is an extremely fundamental keeper,” Smith said. “He is great on the ground and fearless in the air.”
