Victor Cuiss Fieldhouse renovated for sports; tailgate, ceremony, first volleyball matches planned Tuesday
Jackson Community College will host a rededication ceremony for the renovated Victor Cuiss Fieldhouse at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 4 in the gymnasium.
With the re-introduction of sports, improvements to the Cuiss Fieldhouse were necessary. The gym floor has been replaced with a parquet wood surface, new baskets, curtains and a scoreboard have been installed, and the facility has been painted. This short ceremony will be followed by a JCC Jets women’s volleyball tournament against Schoolcraft College and Alma College, which will begin at 5:30 p.m. There is no charge for this tournament.
Prior to the rededication and volleyball match, the JCC Alumni Association will host a tailgate party from 4-5 p.m. in the fieldhouse parking lot. All are invited to attend and enjoy fun and refreshments. There is no charge, but a donation to the Jets Athletic Fund is appreciated.
Jets women’s volleyball kicked off their season on Aug. 29 against Wayne County Community College at WCCC. The team has nine home matches scheduled in the season. For a complete schedule, visit www.jccmi.edu/athletics.
