Imagine a Culture of Peace

The Jackson Interfaith Peacekeepers and Jackson Community
College invite the community to Imagine a Culture of Peace, an
Evening with Marianne Williamson, author, speaker, and
co-founder of the Peace Alliance, on Friday, May 5, at 7 p.m. in
the Harold Sheffer Music Hall, Potter Center, JCC main campus.
JCC forensics team members speak at tournaments

Jackson Community College's Golden Jets Forensics team has
been active in state and national tournaments recently. On March
9-13, the Golden Jet Forensics team traveled to Barry College,
located just outside of Rome, Ga., for the Novice National
Tournament.
JCC, CMSA to host soccer tournament
March 22, 2006
Jackson Community College will host a four-on-four soccer
tournament, the 4v4 Shootout, on Saturday, March 25, from 9 a.m.
to 6 p.m. in the Victor Cuiss Fieldhouse on main campus.

Hands-on financial aid workshops planned

hands-on financial aid workshops for students and parents to
learn about filing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid
(FAFSA) form.

Cole, recently sworn in as a member of AmeriCorps*VISTA, the
nearly 40-year-old national service program dedicated to helping
fight poverty in the United States.
College prepares to rededicate McDivitt Hall

for James McDivitt Hall on Tuesday, March 14, with tours of the
facility beginning at 4:30 p.m. and ceremonies at 5 p.m.

Young artist winner featured in spring concert

The Jackson Community Concert Band will feature 2006 Young
Artist Competition winner Brent Clore performing on alto
saxophone in a spring concert at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 26, in the
Harold Sheffer Music Hall of Potter Center.
V.P. Strohaver honored for outstanding leadership

student services, recently received The Chair Academy's 2006
International Exemplary Leader Award.
