Despite the score there was some improvement in the way JCC approached tonight's game. The power play was much better, with the Jets scoring their only two of the night on the power play. Also, despite a poor showing in the second leading to a 10 goal swing by Calvin, the Jets still came out with some fire in the third. They were determined to finish strong and showed their underlying passion. The goal scorers were Trent Wasielewski and Jake Hambidge. Going into the locker room after the game, spirits were high, as the team was fueled by the hustle and momentum they got in the third period.
Oakland University (3-4)

The Jets just couldn't come back enough to keep Oakland in their sights Friday. Oakland University opened the scoring with a quick goal in the first and another goal towards the end of the second. But, the Jets played phenomenally, holding Oakland to one goal in the first and second period and putting in two goals late in the second to tie it up. Tyler Susskind and Byron Geurin scored the goals in the second. After two periods, the score stood at two a piece. When the third period got started, Oakland came out with a little fire and netted another two within three minutes. The Jets continued to play strong and Tyler Susskind scored his second of the night, making the final score 4-3. Goalie Brandon Fitzgerald had a stand out night, facing 63 shots and only allowing 4 goals.
