JCC signs defensive player to women's soccer team

Jackson Community College signed Ashley Krotkiewicz to the Jets women’s soccer program this week.

Krotkiewicz is a 2008 graduate of Lakeview High School in St. Clair Shores, where she played defense on the soccer team, and she attended Macomb Community College for a year. She played for the club teams the St. Clair Shores Stingrays from 2002-2007, and the Legacy from 2008-2009. She was named All State Academic in high school and was named to the Dean’s List at Macomb Community College.

“Ashley brings a tremendous set of skills to our backline,” said Andy Hosmer, JCC’s women’s soccer coach. “She is a hard-working, tough-tackling, intelligent defender but also technically very gifted on the ball. She could easily start up front for us as well, but her defensive mindset is exactly what we are looking for to solidify our back three.”

Williamston soccer players signs with JCC

Jackson Community College signed Williamston soccer player Megan Campbell to the 2009-2010 women’s soccer team recently.

Campbell is a 2009 graduate of Williamston High School and was named All Conference by the Capital Area Activities Conference and to the All District Team. The Williamston team was a runner-up in Division 3 for 2008. She also played for the Phoenix Club Soccer team and the CA United Club Soccer Team. She is a licensed cosmetologist.

“Megan is an outstanding and versatile defender with plenty of top club experience,” said Andy Hosmer, women’s head soccer coach. “Her high school team is one of the premier Division 3 programs in the state, and her experience against strong opponents will be a key to solidifying our backline.”
