Baseball, softball teams sign players for coming year
Baseball, softball teams sign players for coming year Jackson Community College recently signed two baseball players and one softball player for the coming year. Players include:

Logan Curtis of Brooklyn signed with men’s baseball for 2009-2010. Curtis is a 5 foot 11 inch middle infielder who played baseball for Columbia Central High School. Rick Smith, JCC coach, said, “We are excited to have such a great athlete from the local area joining us next year. Logan will provide us with some great depth in the middle infield. Kyle shows good leadership skills and will work hard to represent JCC.”
Jeffery Weeks of Warren, Mich. signed with men’s baseball for 2009-2010. Weeks is a 5 foot 10 inch pitcher who played baseball for Warren Woods-Tower High School. Smith said, “Jeff is a right-handed pitcher with a great mound presence. He has set a mark in the MAC (Macomb Area Conference). He led his high school team the state quarter finals as a junior. We look for him to compete for a spot in the conference rotation.”
Lindsy Robison from Saline, Mich. signed with women’s softball for 2009-2010. Robison is a 5 foot 7 inch catcher who played for Saline High School. “Lindsy is an excellent catcher,” said Kelli Wheeler, JCC head softball coach. “She will not only help us out behind the plate, but also in the infield and at the plate. We expect her to be one of our power hitters and a stolen base leader.”
