Baseball team signs two from Homer
Jackson Community College’s Jets baseball team signed two Homer High School seniors to the roster for the 2010 season:
Brian Edwards is a 5-foot 10-inch catcher for the Homer Trojans. He has earned All District Catcher honors for baseball, Most Improved Award, and the Homer team was champion in the Big 8 Conference in 2007 & 2008, and district champs 2006, 2007 and 2008. He’s part of the honor roll.
Geoffrey Blake Hinkle is a 6-foot 5-inch pitcher/first baseman for the Homer Trojans. He has received All Conference honors twice, All District twice, and was named pre-season All State. He has also received academic honors in poetry and English.
