Preseason indoor camp helps with baseball fundamentals
Jackson Community College will host a one-day Jets preseason baseball camp Dec. 21, 2009 in the Victor Cuiss Fieldhouse on the JCC campus.
This camp will help young players get a jump start on practice with quality individual instruction in fundamentals such as pitching mechanics, hitting, infield play, outfield play, catching drills and base running. Players should bring bat, glove, practice gear, batting gloves, helmet, and a positive attitude, Jets coach Rick Smith said.
A morning session from 9 a.m. to noon will be held for ages 9 and up, cost $40. An afternoon session for ages 5-8 will be held from 1-3 p.m., cost $20. For additional information, please contact Rick Smith at 517.796.8592.
